Etihad Airways（ETD）は8月2日、Abu Dhabi〜上海線にB787-9を投入した。ETDのB787-9投入路線はPerth／Brisbane／Singapore／Washington D.C.／Zurich／Dusseldorfに続き上海が7路線目で、中国路線では初となる。
